Pool H revisit (BE)

In 1938 started the construction of this large outdoor pool of 5000 square meters. The construction took about two years. The pool is designed by the Belgian architect Charles Nueten. In 1978, the pool was closed due to the increasing Government measures relating to hygiene, health and safety.

Since then the pool has abandoned. The complex is an natural area of 160 hectares and consists next to the pool for a large part from forests. The lake, the beach and the beach building since 2001 monument protected for its historical and architectural value. That is probably tje reason the pool still exists.

This my second visit to the site. The first time was in 2009 and was my first urbex trip.
